It started in 2016. A handful of small businesses began collaborating and supporting one-another, growing as we found others along the way. We were a collection of lifestyle brands, from baby goods to jewelry, small batch skincare to interior designers. Primarily ecommerce based and working alone or a small team, support from like-minded brands at different stages of business was everything.
In 2017 we hosted a two day pop up shop at the historic Cigar Factory in downtown Charleston, SC. Over 20 small businesses came - from Charleston, Indiana, Atlanta, and even as far as Seattle. We transformed an empty, unfinished storefront into a colorful and lively retail shop with makers and small business owners proudly showing off their products. The turnout was more than we ever imagined and we were beyond thrilled to introduce maker's and indie businesses all over the country to our Charleston community.

A few months later, we took the show on the road and popped up in downtown Nashville. The following spring, we came back to Charleston hosting a two day outdoor event at the Workshop.

In the fall of 2018 we were given an amazing opportunity - to open our very own brick & mortar in the historic Cigar Factory in downtown Charleston. We scrambled, contacting every indie business owner we knew, asking them to - in the middle of the holiday rush - be a part of this new-concept brick & mortar concept. And they did. They had faith in us, in our vision, and it turned out to be more than we could have imagined.

We transformed the beautifully rustic, bright white space into a colorful, inspiring display of products made WITH LOVE. We hosted workshops to bring our COMMUNITY together, and to showcase the brilliant talents of our maker and indie business community.

Early summer 2020, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to close the doors to our first brick & mortar. Taking apart the shop was a gut wrenching process - the shop was more than just four walls filled with products, it was our dream. However, we are firm believers that with failure comes rebirth, into something better than we were before.
For the time being, the COMMUNITY shop is online-only.
